My favorite pairings is Lelouch and CC. Their dynamic is strong and smooth, and
entertaining on screen. But because of who or what CC may be, I wouldn't mind
their relationship remaining platonic. But so far I have really enjoyed their
interaction and can't wait for the second season.
I also like Lelouch and Shirley, mostly for what happened with Mao. Their hug
was just so sweet, and I liked all the emotions in that scene (and the one
following it). I am curious about how their relationship will be handled and
what direction it will go.
I'm not that big on Kallen and Lelouch, but I don't mind it.
Quote by ealpha-scorpio
Is it her fault? Or circumstances made
her make such decisions?!
It's not like she was happy and smiling when she did them. She told Meryin to
watch over Athrun and everybody saw her having tears in her eyes. She took off
the ring and again she looked sad. You're making this look like she really meant
all these things to happen. She had no other
choice.
Yes, it is her fault.
There was no reason for her to agree to marrying Yuna. Cagalli let herself get
pushed around and said little in her own defense. Even if she couldn't persaude
the other representives to NOT take the EA's side, what good would it do to
marry into a family that sympathizes with the EA?! How did she expect that to
help her stand up for her ideals and lead her country? And the result of the
marriage? She was stuck in hiding with the Archangel. Out of ORB's playing
field, which is where she needed to be the most.
And I was saying that Cagalli told Meyrin to take care of Athrun, so there's no
point in getting annoyed with Meyrin for doing what Cagalli asked of her.
Quote by ealpha-scorpioYou think
Kira could do anything if Cagalli hadn't decided to go?! If she had refused Kira
there was absolutely nothing Kira could do. She stayed because she saw more hope
and chance in having Athrun
back.
UchihaTaijiya: smart move, Attha!
ealpha-scorpio: It wasn't a smart move but it was the only way to suppress the
tension. All Cagalli wanted was to prevent man slaughter and start of another
war. It was an arranged and political
marriage. Although Fukuda never clearly revealed why and how important it was.
She had to give in, in order to prevent the council break down from within. They
were already against her and she need to keep the unity of ORB Council, so she
decided to marry Yunna.
Bad decision, plain and simple. For reasons I stated above. And you agree, it
wasn't a smart move. Good. Then I hope you can see why it irritates me.
=]
Quote by ealpha-scorpioCagalli was
not considerant?! And did not tell
Athrun about her marriage to Yunna?! :Surprised: I hope you still remember how
did she contact Kira. It was through a letter! She didn't have access to the outside world. So how could
she contact Athrun?! Send him a mail He
for sure was going to receive it very late. Just like what happened in the
series.
Mind me ask you why didn't Athrun turn on the darn TV to see Cagalli getting
married?! After all Representative of ORB was getting married. He obviously did
not. And, my, that was really smart move from a politician's son!
Yeah. I said SPEAK. xD
I know she wrote a letter, but I find that inconsiderate. She's going to get
married to someone else, for rather... bad reasons, and that's something that
should be dealt with in person. A personal opinion, but its how I feel about
that.
He probably didn't want to watch the girl he loved get married! Very simple
question. And I find it understandable. Can't say the same for Cagalli's
actions.
Quote by ealpha-scorpioThrough his
journey, why he did not once contact his finace?
He was busy?!~
Lols* Well so was Cagalli, my friend
Plus, she was caged and imprisoned and was not going to be free until she was
married to Yunna. Athrun could have inquired about her by a simple call. But not
only he does not watch the news or knows about the big even at ORB, but also he
does not contact her at all. Normally, it is expected from Athrun to be the one
to contact. Since Cagalli was always busy with the ORB
Council.
I didn't say Athrun did everything right either. xD He shouuld have gotten in
contact with her.
She was not caged! Or imprisoned!
She just did nothing about her situation. Athrun's character was acting on what
he felt, he's consistent in that. Where was Cagalli's spirit? I'm aware that it
was bad writing/characterization, but unfortunately, it was just bad enough to
spoil Cagalli in Destiny. I adore her in the Seed though. <3
Quote by ealpha-scorpioWhy not?
You seem very angry with her. We cannot say she has no right to see him anymore.
Meyrin did complete opposite of Cagalli?!
Cagalli did the same things two years earlier, back in SEED. And unlike Meyrin
who saved his life, Cagalli prevented him from committing a suicide. I consider the latter much harder and
nerve-racking. I don't know about you. She went all the way to persuade the one
she loves not to kill himself. Imagine how persuasive you have to be to give
some one in such condition a new hope. Not to mention shelter him under your
support, as a Representative of ORB, when the world is still seeking Chairman
Zalla's son. Cagalli did that for two years. Athrun had nothing left at the end
of SEED. Except for Cagalli, Kira, and Lacus who stood by his
side.
I didn't say Cagalli didn't have a right to see Athrun. xD I was saying that
Meyrin has just as much right to be near Athrun. =P And because she hasn't
betrayed him, you could argue she has more of a right. But I agree, Cagalli in
Seed was a lovely character.
Quote by ealpha-scorpioMeyrin took
care of Athrun? Excuse me, but everybody saw Cagalli being by Athrun's bedside,
when Meyrin was healing somewhere else. You're looking at this one sided. Meyrin
took care of him after he had recovered the critical level. Cagalli went through
a lot more stress than Meyrin. She brought him back to Archangel half-dead, and watched over him when there
wrere slight chances for him to survive. Miss Hawk took care of happy-standing
and all-fine Athrun Zala. I don't say she wouldn't do the same. What I mean is
not to exaggerate in what Meyrin did, since what Cagalli has achieved, despite
of all things they went through, is still way more
considerable.
She didn't bring him back... She was there when he arrived.
And yes, I know that Cagalli was at his side as well. But I was pointing out
that Meyrin did the same, and once again, it was in relation to the point that
Meyrin has the right to be there with him.
The Meyrin link takes me to the Cagalli pic... I really want that Meyrin too. x3
When you have the time, please share it again.
Thank you very much in advance!
Quote by telethaCagalli has blushed in
front of other people too ya know. I
don't think that means she loves them. I just don't think Meyrin would give
Athrun the rabu rabu~ looks she does if she didn't like him a little bit. She
also wouldn't save him if she only felt like he was a superior and nothing more.
It's pretty much canon and approved by the great Fukuda himself that Meyrin does
in fact have feelings for Athrun. How far those feelings go, where they will go
is anyone's guess.
The majority of AsuMey fans are NOT saying "Athrun loves Meyrin~" but
that there is room for something to happen between them. Cagalli isn't around.
Athrun is single for the most part. Nobody is saying they are going to get
married. Just that she's a girl. He's a guy. Things happen. A lot of people are
put off by how Athrun and Cagalli treated each other in Destiny and therefore
pretty much have given up on them as a couple unless they really work through
their problems. Blame Fukuda all you want, but he's the creator and can do what
he wants. The characters he makes is what they are. He didn't ruin them. He
changed them how he wanted them. Don't like it? Too bad.
Exactly. Most of the fans I've come across who support Athrun and Meyrin are not
saying that Athrun is in love with Meyrin. =/ And while I have used the word
'love' before to describe Meyrin's feelings for Athrun in the past, I do realize
that what she feels for him is not on that level, though its definitely stronger
than just a crush. That is proven by her actions towards him, on Minerva and on
Archangel.
And yeah, a lot of us used to (and in my case, still do) support Athrun/Cagalli,
or at the very least, understand the strong bond and feelings between them...
but with time, relationships change, just as anything else... and it's very
possible that with all that has happened between them, they could decide to
remain as invaluable friends. I would not find that unsatisfying at all.
Possibly, I would find it even more realistic... as love does not always
'conquer' in reality.
And yah, they're just teenagers. xD
Quote by LilKittyCrazieI actually
wanted Athrun to be wth Meer. Its like a Dejavu when you see how Meer acts to
Athrun to how Misa reacts to Light (Death Note). I mean seriously the part where
the guy is so serious and the girl is so desperate was actually a fun thing.
LOL. But the difference is Athrun is a good guy and Light is well you know evil.
Anyway in my mind 'Cagali, Meyrin, Luna and even Meer.... Move away because I
think the Knight of Red Armour still has a thing for Lacus....' LOL! Thats just
my thought okay! Whateer comes will be in Seed Movie and from the spoiler pics,
I think its Cagalli's time playing hard to get.
LOOOLS.....
Athrun and Meer? ;; Not my scene. lol
But I definitely agree with you, about Athrun still having feelings for Lacus.
I've noticed that since Seed. (Athrun and Lacus is the couple I truly prefer for
Athrun, but I think that his feelings are stronger than hers... as she seems to
be fully in love with Kira, and values Athrun as a dear friend).

Yeah... people can like what they want. <.<
Quote by ealpha-scorpioHonestly
when I look at the whole scenario again,
I begin to reconsider my first impression of the situation. Athrun went to Meer
for help but she refused to help him. She was just making things more difficult
for him and he had to decide quickly. Lune would never help him, this was out of
question, and many viewer, I believe know that too. He had no other person to
help him and he suddently came across with Meyrine. We should be thankful that
she helped him!
The only thing that later on begin to annoy me, as an AsuCaga fan, is that she
started sticking to him. It was by then that become irritated with her actions.
I know that she was lonely and stuff...but beside her there was another girl who
had every right to be with Athrun. Cagalli, she's his fincee for gods' sake but
she seems very patient and understanding with their situation.
Ah, Athrun did not go to Meer to help her... She came to him, told him about
Gilbert and Rey's suspicions, and then Athrun told her that she was in danger,
and that she should leave with him. 'Course Meer was too caught up in her role
as Lacus to see the validity in Athrun's words. He didn't seek Meyrin either. He
came to her room by chance... or fate... =P
Cagalli... TOLD Meyrin to watch over Athrun. <.<
Cagalli... TOOK off the ring.
Cagalli... ALMOST got married. To a guy who wouldn't even let her speak in the
ORB conference room... yeah... smart move, Attha. <.< And she would have
gotten married, if Kira hadn't intervened. =/ Hell, she was going to do it
without even speaking to Athrun! Sorry, at least he didn't leave ORB without a
word to her. To me, it expressed a real lack of consideration on Cagalli's
part... since they've been together for two years... and have experienced a
life's worth of trails... yeah, you'd think she'd, at the very least, have the
courage to not put it off on Kira.
After all that... you think Cagalli had more right to be around Athrun than
Meyrin? After Meyrin basically did the complete opposite as Cagalli, by
following her heart, risking everything, and saving Athrun's life? AND then
taking care of him while he's healing? And like you've already mentioned...
she's all alone, knows no one except Athrun... yeah, it's real rational to get
annoyed with her character alright. lawl.
Though I know that Cagalli was dealing with a lot of pressure, but almost
marrying Yuuna... not even necessary for ORB (the reasoning of 'it'll unite da
peeps lulz' can barely even compare to how Yuuna cut her off in the conference
room (several times), expressed an opposite political view, and basically said,
'hay thar, we're getting married. lolz. screw ur fianzay'... and Cagalli's
response: 'lik no wai, okay!' <.<) and in fact would have been even more
detrimental because then Cagalli would have been trapped in a marriage without
love... which would equate to unhappiness and dissatisfaction within her later
years.. and would probably in turn affect how she governs her country. And as I
pointed out, Yuuna's views were opposite to her own and he didn't hide that. Its
just... stupefying. 'Cause ah, that's not going to work in the long run... screw
quick and easy 'unification' that wouldn't have lasted long since Yuuna and
Cagalli had entirely different ideas and interests for ORB.
I didn't mean to rant... but I seriously have a hard time looking past that.

OTP - SasuSaku <3
It was actually an official image of Sasuke and Sakura that got me interested in
Naruto, though I didn't start to really fall for the pairing until the Forest of
Death. Now I'm hooked and it doesn't matter how the series turns out, SasuSaku
will always be the pairing for me ^_~
I also like: SaiSaku, NaruHina, ShikaTem, SuiKarin, GaaSaku, KibaHina, NejiHina,
JiraTsu, SaiNaru, GaaNaru, KakaSaku, KakaSasu, DeiSaso, TsuShiz, SakuIno.... and
more =]
Quote by TwilightMaidFllay is an
obvious hated character. I told before how I didn't like her because she's
spoiled rich, a daddy's girl, annoying, and she blames everyone for everything
that has happened to her in the begining of the series. People protect her
because she's more of a real character, but only because she presented the more
change, which wasn't even that impressive.
You say her change wasn't impressive... I say that she died before she could
really make amends... and that in itself is a reason to pity her character. She
died wanting to see Kira, to speak with him, and most likely apologize for the
animosity she felt and the pain she caused him. We see that her last wish is to
protect him, with her true feelings. She
just ran out of time.
I wont argue her being spoiled, or a daddy's girl, or for being annoying (which
she was on occasion) and she did blame the people around her for what happened
to her father and her life. If she had never changed and remained static, then
no, I wouldn't like her character nearly as much. But liking growth in a
character isn't unreasonable, and to grow the character first has to exhibit
flaws and make mistakes. 'Course I tend to like controversial characters, and
find that their flaws and trails really make for a good story. That's my
preference though.
Quote by TwilightMaidFirst, okay,
she saw her dad die in front of her eyes, what about the other war ridden
citizens that has happened to? Yes, their broken, but you don't see them being a
racist and blaming others, going psychopath, holding a grudge, using
somebody.... and is sad, cause I bet a 10 year old was more mature than her not
thinking this way. Lacus' father died, Cagalli's father died, do they mope? No,
it instead makes them stronger. Lacus is an orphan really, she has no family.
Fllay too, but she acts as if she's the only one.
What do you mean you don't see them holding grudges or lashing out?
Many of the fodder soldiers would cry out racist statements or speak of a lost
loved one... In Destiny, the soldier who spoke to Athrun at Junius 7 was acting
on his losses and anger...
Quote by TwilightMaidSecond, she
talked to her dad on the phone or whatever that was, as he wanted to see her.
Instead of doing a very smart thing, which was to tell him, "I'll see you
soon daddy, just stay where you are. There's a battle in space and were in the
middle of a war. I'll be alright, is too dangerous. Promise me you won't
come".
But of course, there would be no point for her pathetic character, thus, her
father gets killed by an ongoing fight. And I'm supposed to feel sorry for that
crap? Girl, please. Your fault. Not Kira's. YOURS. And that part was too forced
also.
I believe her father was ALREADY coming to meet the Archangel, and it was by
chance that Fllay was on the ship. Sai told her that when George saw her name,
he was ecstatic. My point is that her father was on business, and placed himself
in danger by his own admission. Fllay is not to blame for that.
Neither is Kira though. =/ But she realized this later... which doesn't
'absolve' her, but it makes a much more interesting character.
Quote by TwilightMaidThird, she got
so far on playing psycho girl revenge, she gave up her virginity, and went as
far as to brainwash Kira into protecting her, faking that she cares for him, and
is always there. It wasn't until she was getting deep in her own game, and began
liking Kira, that she had doubts. But due to her selfishness, it was too late.
At least she started feeling for him, that shows that she was not really cruel
at heart. Not going to defend her though, all of that is true for her
character.
Quote by TwilightMaidFourth, she
didn't change. There are 2 types of people. Those who take responsibility for
their lives and those who blame; those who make it happen and those who get
happened to.
Fllay was the one who blamed, and the EVENTS, not HER, the EVENTS that happened
around her, like being stuck in a ZAFT ship with Coordinators, and all that we
saw, is what made her change. It would have been perfect, if she was determined
to change her ways, and make something happen by her hands, sacrifice herself
for all the wrongs. No more crying and feeling sorry for herself. She should
have figured that out by herself. What if she wasn't in with Rau? She would have
remained the same bitch. Fllay didn't re-discover herself. THAT, is a deep
character, not the one in SEED.
*sighs* Fllay WANTED to take responsibility... she was brought to tears while
speaking to Nataru... I felt she was sincere. And uh, you really can't
generalize human nature like that. Heh.
If she hadn't been surrounded by coordinators/captured by Rau, she never would
have been exposed to them. She would have remained ignorant, though I wouldn't
say for the rest of her life (since she was just 16). She did rediscover
herself... <.<
Quote by TwilightMaidI think it was
her guilt, and her looking for forgiveness that configured her actions. That
still doesn't make up for the damage she caused, to Kira, and to Sai. She got
her well deserved when she got barbecued.
She's way OVER-RATED in my opinion.
Why does one feel guilt? Isn't it when you realize that your actions/thoughts
were wrong? That you didn't see the whole picture, etc? I think it's natural to
want to make amends and seek forgiveness when you've wronged someone who matters
to you, and there's nothing shameful about it. =/
Kira ignored Sai's feelings just as harshly as Fllay. Honestly, neither of them
treated him with much respect. <.< But Sai forgave Kira and I think he
forgave Fllay as well, though it remained unsaid.
Overrated, Underrated. Just depends on if you like her. <.<
Damn it's been so long since I've really checked this thread out. Glad to see
that it's compelled a lot of people to express their opinions, and to give
details as to why they feel that way. Too many threads in the anime sections
have posts with little 'substance'. It's nice to see the different perspectives,
or in some cases, the similar ones. ^^
It's been a while since Destiny aired, and my feelings for Lunamaria have
subsided. I read over what I said, and I do think I come off as harsh. lol! My
bad, but this was always intended to be an opinion thread, and I wouldn't want
anyone to censor their opinion on a fictional character... so yeah, kinda glad I
just let it all out. xD
@Yuchya
It's cool that you like Lunamaria, especially if you can connect with her
character. Because of that you were able to see qualities in Lunamaria that I
wasn't. You seem like a nice person, and I'd like to be able to see Lunamaria
differently as well... but even now, I still rather dislike her. xD But meh,
what can ya do?
Quote by ahziraOK..I don't like lunamaria
because she did ridicilous things and that. And thats not because im a
shinnxstellar fan(shinstel looks more compatible together i mean they look like
awww..so cute together)
i don hate her,i juz don like the shinnxluna pairing.I juz saw Lunamaria as a
bystander or something related 2 it.She was given a big role in the series and
yet she did nothing 4 the plot development.
And if shinn did love luna,y did he saw stellar in a dream or as a ghost? And
naked 4 that matter..uhhhh y did i add that...anyways Stellar did more than Luna
she somehow 'comforted' shinn.I mean if you look at her playing in the water or
dancing don't u feel relaxed?ok maybe that was juz me..And Stellar gave shinn a
reason to carry on fighting. And if i remember correctly shinn was blinded by the
rage of losing stellar and his sister that he did not see Luna 'blocking'
Athrun.He almost killed her.
ok that's juz my opinion.no offense lunafans/shinnxluna fans
and the person who created this thread.U are so awesome in expressing ur
thoughts on Luna and for that i support ur opinnions!SHINNXSTELLAR
FOREVER!
Looking back, I do think that my preference for Shinn/Stellar had a significant
impact on my dislike for Lunamaria, along with my feelings towards Meyrin. I
found the S/S relationship to be very pure, based on both of their needs for
someone to love and to find 'salvation' in being needed and protecting each
other (more-so from Shinn's perspective). Along with the tragedy of Stellar's
existence and Shinn's past, I just found their connection to be very beautiful
and touching, which for me, is a stark contrast to Lunamaria and Shinn, which I
saw to be mostly based on guilt, loneliness, uncertainty, etc. But I acknowledge
now that, like S/S, their relationship was also based on need... for
companionship and a place to feel safe. And looking at it like that, I've come
to accept the pairing in a much more positive manner.
EDIT :: O_o
There was a lot more to my post when I hit the submit button... =/
Anyway, while I view the pairing differently, I still can't empathize with Luna
deciding to seek comfort in Shinn... and of course, nothing has changed about
the lack of development and missed opportunities to really develop her
character.
I like characters that have an interesting past or current conflict. I also like
characters who make me laugh or inspire me. And ones who make mistakes,
definitely. Intelligence and arrogance are usually pluses. But I also like
humble characters, and those who know their limitations. The voice actor plays a
role as well, so does style and the character design.
My favorites also usually have a large role in the series, I rarely get attached
to side characters. I don't really have a specific favorite character, and there
are many reasons for why I like the ones I do...
Very funny and enjoyable movie. Only thing is, I wish it would have went more
into the secret criminal society... dunno, it seemed that there wasn't much
effort put into the plot since the Rush Hour movies are already so popular...
Meh, it was still great though xD So I guess they can get a way with it.
Why must Sasuke respond to their sexual/romantic advances in order to
acknowledge women? He's saved Sakura several times, thanked her, and called her
one of his precious people. THAT is acknowledgment. He acknowledged Karin's
abilities, hence why he asked her to help him. >.> And he thanked and
bowed before the Old Uchiha/Cat lady. So he has acknowledged women.
And he does have emotional depth, but thats for another thread.
>.>
I think its highly possible that Sasuke will end up with Sakura. It's also
possible that Sakura will end up with Naruto. SasuSaku is my OTP, but I'm very
much willing to just wait and enjoy myself until verification occurs in the
manga (or if its disproved). Either way, I'll always be a SasuSaku fan. =P
Both! Usually the mall is fun to go to with friends or family and just enjoy
yourself. The internet however gives you so many options and you can get
merchandise cheaper on the internet as well. Anyway, both have their up-points.
^^
If someone criticizes the series in an intelligent and amusing manner, then
usually I can find some merit in their points (even if I don't fully agree) and
enjoy the post.
If it's expressed childishly and like ArtificialRaindrop pointed out, a direct
insult to people who do like the series... then it's annoying and obnoxious but
nothing to concern myself over.
See, I'm fully aware that the animes I favor are not perfect and have their weak
points. It just turns out these weak spots are ones that I can look over. xD
It's Athrun for me. I like his color scheme, his hair style, his demeanor, and
his voice actor is Akira Ishida. ^.^ Kira is also very attractive and Shinn too
xD

'Course Meer was too caught up in her role as Lacus to see the validity in Athrun's words. He didn't seek Meyrin either. He came to her room by chance... or fate... =P
Cagalli... TOLD Meyrin to watch over Athrun. <.<
Cagalli... TOOK off the ring.
Cagalli... ALMOST got married. To a guy who wouldn't even let her speak in the ORB conference room... yeah... smart move, Attha. <.< And she would have gotten married, if Kira hadn't intervened. =/ Hell, she was going to do it without even speaking to Athrun! Sorry, at least he didn't leave ORB without a word to her. To me, it expressed a real lack of consideration on Cagalli's part... since they've been together for two years... and have experienced a life's worth of trails... yeah, you'd think she'd, at the very least, have the courage to not put it off on Kira.
After all that... you think Cagalli had more right to be around Athrun than Meyrin? After Meyrin basically did the complete opposite as Cagalli, by following her heart, risking everything, and saving Athrun's life? AND then taking care of him while he's healing? And like you've already mentioned... she's all alone, knows no one except Athrun... yeah, it's real rational to get annoyed with her character alright. lawl.
Though I know that Cagalli was dealing with a lot of pressure, but almost marrying Yuuna... not even necessary for ORB (the reasoning of 'it'll unite da peeps lulz' can barely even compare to how Yuuna cut her off in the conference room (several times), expressed an opposite political view, and basically said, 'hay thar, we're getting married. lolz. screw ur fianzay'... and Cagalli's response: 'lik no wai, okay!' <.<) and in fact would have been even more detrimental because then Cagalli would have been trapped in a marriage without love... which would equate to unhappiness and dissatisfaction within her later years.. and would probably in turn affect how she governs her country. And as I pointed out, Yuuna's views were opposite to her own and he didn't hide that. Its just... stupefying. 'Cause ah, that's not going to work in the long run... screw quick and easy 'unification' that wouldn't have lasted long since Yuuna and Cagalli had entirely different ideas and interests for ORB.
I didn't mean to rant... but I seriously have a hard time looking past that. =/
Hmmm.... somewhat a mix of Hughes and Lust. Strange, I know. xD
OTP - SasuSaku <3
It was actually an official image of Sasuke and Sakura that got me interested in Naruto, though I didn't start to really fall for the pairing until the Forest of Death. Now I'm hooked and it doesn't matter how the series turns out, SasuSaku will always be the pairing for me ^_~
I also like: SaiSaku, NaruHina, ShikaTem, SuiKarin, GaaSaku, KibaHina, NejiHina, JiraTsu, SaiNaru, GaaNaru, KakaSaku, KakaSasu, DeiSaso, TsuShiz, SakuIno.... and more =]
You say her change wasn't impressive... I say that she died before she could really make amends... and that in itself is a reason to pity her character. She died wanting to see Kira, to speak with him, and most likely apologize for the animosity she felt and the pain she caused him. We see that her last wish is to protect him, with her true feelings. She just ran out of time.
I wont argue her being spoiled, or a daddy's girl, or for being annoying (which she was on occasion) and she did blame the people around her for what happened to her father and her life. If she had never changed and remained static, then no, I wouldn't like her character nearly as much. But liking growth in a character isn't unreasonable, and to grow the character first has to exhibit flaws and make mistakes. 'Course I tend to like controversial characters, and find that their flaws and trails really make for a good story. That's my preference though.
What do you mean you don't see them holding grudges or lashing out?
Many of the fodder soldiers would cry out racist statements or speak of a lost
loved one... In Destiny, the soldier who spoke to Athrun at Junius 7 was acting
on his losses and anger...
I believe her father was ALREADY coming to meet the Archangel, and it was by chance that Fllay was on the ship. Sai told her that when George saw her name, he was ecstatic. My point is that her father was on business, and placed himself in danger by his own admission. Fllay is not to blame for that.
Neither is Kira though. =/ But she realized this later... which doesn't 'absolve' her, but it makes a much more interesting character.
At least she started feeling for him, that shows that she was not really cruel at heart. Not going to defend her though, all of that is true for her character.
*sighs* Fllay WANTED to take responsibility... she was brought to tears while speaking to Nataru... I felt she was sincere. And uh, you really can't generalize human nature like that. Heh.
If she hadn't been surrounded by coordinators/captured by Rau, she never would have been exposed to them. She would have remained ignorant, though I wouldn't say for the rest of her life (since she was just 16). She did rediscover herself... <.<
Why does one feel guilt? Isn't it when you realize that your actions/thoughts were wrong? That you didn't see the whole picture, etc? I think it's natural to want to make amends and seek forgiveness when you've wronged someone who matters to you, and there's nothing shameful about it. =/
Kira ignored Sai's feelings just as harshly as Fllay. Honestly, neither of them treated him with much respect. <.< But Sai forgave Kira and I think he forgave Fllay as well, though it remained unsaid.
Overrated, Underrated. Just depends on if you like her. <.<
Tough question xD
I find that both can be exceptionally attractive....
~_~
I can't choose. <.<
I do like a lot of Shinn's official shots... x3
Gah, in the end, I think Athrun is the sexiest. lol
Damn it's been so long since I've really checked this thread out. Glad to see that it's compelled a lot of people to express their opinions, and to give details as to why they feel that way. Too many threads in the anime sections have posts with little 'substance'. It's nice to see the different perspectives, or in some cases, the similar ones. ^^
It's been a while since Destiny aired, and my feelings for Lunamaria have subsided. I read over what I said, and I do think I come off as harsh. lol! My bad, but this was always intended to be an opinion thread, and I wouldn't want anyone to censor their opinion on a fictional character... so yeah, kinda glad I just let it all out. xD
@Yuchya
It's cool that you like Lunamaria, especially if you can connect with her character. Because of that you were able to see qualities in Lunamaria that I wasn't. You seem like a nice person, and I'd like to be able to see Lunamaria differently as well... but even now, I still rather dislike her. xD But meh, what can ya do?
Looking back, I do think that my preference for Shinn/Stellar had a significant impact on my dislike for Lunamaria, along with my feelings towards Meyrin. I found the S/S relationship to be very pure, based on both of their needs for someone to love and to find 'salvation' in being needed and protecting each other (more-so from Shinn's perspective). Along with the tragedy of Stellar's existence and Shinn's past, I just found their connection to be very beautiful and touching, which for me, is a stark contrast to Lunamaria and Shinn, which I saw to be mostly based on guilt, loneliness, uncertainty, etc. But I acknowledge now that, like S/S, their relationship was also based on need... for companionship and a place to feel safe. And looking at it like that, I've come to accept the pairing in a much more positive manner.
EDIT :: O_o
There was a lot more to my post when I hit the submit button... =/
Anyway, while I view the pairing differently, I still can't empathize with Luna deciding to seek comfort in Shinn... and of course, nothing has changed about the lack of development and missed opportunities to really develop her character.
I like characters that have an interesting past or current conflict. I also like characters who make me laugh or inspire me. And ones who make mistakes, definitely. Intelligence and arrogance are usually pluses. But I also like humble characters, and those who know their limitations. The voice actor plays a role as well, so does style and the character design.
My favorites also usually have a large role in the series, I rarely get attached to side characters. I don't really have a specific favorite character, and there are many reasons for why I like the ones I do...
I love a little bit of everything. xD
So ~ yah xD
Very funny and enjoyable movie. Only thing is, I wish it would have went more into the secret criminal society... dunno, it seemed that there wasn't much effort put into the plot since the Rush Hour movies are already so popular... Meh, it was still great though xD So I guess they can get a way with it.
Why must Sasuke respond to their sexual/romantic advances in order to acknowledge women? He's saved Sakura several times, thanked her, and called her one of his precious people. THAT is acknowledgment. He acknowledged Karin's abilities, hence why he asked her to help him. >.> And he thanked and bowed before the Old Uchiha/Cat lady. So he has acknowledged women.
And he does have emotional depth, but thats for another thread. >.>
I think its highly possible that Sasuke will end up with Sakura. It's also possible that Sakura will end up with Naruto. SasuSaku is my OTP, but I'm very much willing to just wait and enjoy myself until verification occurs in the manga (or if its disproved). Either way, I'll always be a SasuSaku fan. =P
Both! Usually the mall is fun to go to with friends or family and just enjoy yourself. The internet however gives you so many options and you can get merchandise cheaper on the internet as well. Anyway, both have their up-points. ^^
Both, I don't have a certain preference when it comes to food. xD
It really depends on the manner it's insulted.
If someone criticizes the series in an intelligent and amusing manner, then usually I can find some merit in their points (even if I don't fully agree) and enjoy the post.
If it's expressed childishly and like ArtificialRaindrop pointed out, a direct insult to people who do like the series... then it's annoying and obnoxious but nothing to concern myself over.
See, I'm fully aware that the animes I favor are not perfect and have their weak points. It just turns out these weak spots are ones that I can look over. xD

It's Athrun for me. I like his color scheme, his hair style, his demeanor, and his voice actor is Akira Ishida. ^.^ Kira is also very attractive and Shinn too xD
Thank you very much. *bows*
I'd like to remove the image of me. But I can't find the option. -.- Please help.
